Technical description

Central refrigeration units ( multicompressor units) are intended for making artificial cold in centralized systems of cold- supply used in different stores, supermarkets, refrigerating chambers, storages, terminals, factories of food industry, converted, chemical and pharmaceutical industry and also in centralized air conditioning systems on objects of any kind.
They also can be used in de- centralized systems of cold- supply, air conditioning and in some other refrigerating equipment in those cases when the loads on the refrigerating system varies in rather wide limits and, as a result, there’s a need to have 2 or more stages of regulating of refrigerating capacity .

FRIGODESIGN manufactures refrigerating central units, based on hermetic reciprocating TECUMSEH EUROPE L'UNITE HERMETIQUE compressors, and based on scroll reciprocating and screw BITZER compressors. They need minimal space and have smaller sizes, then those of the same type, fabricated by other manufacturers thanks to its’ original assembly, two-storeyed frame and application of horizontal receivers. Moreover, such assembly is much more ergonomic, it makes the adjustment easier and also reduces maintenance and repair expenditures. Thanks to the dimensional design of the frame and application of steel rectangular closed profile in frame’s construction, its mass is significantly less but the stiffness is higher than all present analogs. Small sizes and weight of refrigerating central units let them be disposed even in tight basement rooms. All refrigerating compressors, reciprocating 6- and 8-cylinder inclosed, are mounted on rubber dampers, which gives the opportunity to reduce the level of noise and vibration.

Compound-wound refrigerating central unit
Refrigerating central units, shown in the catalogs (see above) can be manufartured in compound-wound modification. Compound-wound refrigerating central unit consists of two central units (low- and medium- temperature ) , mounted on the frame. Thanks to the three- storeyed assembly and usage of general ( for both central units ) elements of the construction (receivers of oil and refrigerant, oil line, liquid line, forcing line and regulators of condensation pressure, electrical box) compound-wound refrigerating central unit needs twice less space, than 2 separate refrigerating central units. Moreover, only one offset air condenser is used in the compound-wound refrigerating unit. This allows to spare money on mounting and mounting materials.




All refrigerating central units are equipped with condensing pressure- regulator, mounted on the pumping line, and with receiver pressure- regulator. In the conditions of cold Russian climate such scheme provides a resistant and trouble-free work of central units in winter time, and also gives an opportunity to increase work’s resource of the compressors. One of the main factors, influencing the resource and reliability of refrigerating central unit is the system of delivery and regulation of oil level in compressors. The usage of electronic oil level regulator allows not only to increase accuracy of regulation oil level in compressors, but also to provide alarm compressor’s cut-off in case of minimal oil level. This increases work’s resource of compressors. After alarm compressor’s cut-off in case of minimal oil level, the regulator continues refilling of oil and when reaching the normal oil level the refrigerating compressor automatically is switched on.

The refrigerating central units consist of the whole automatics’ complex, which provides the protection of refrigerating units from any alarm mode. Thanks to usage of alarm microprocessor control boxes and stage regulation of delivery capacity, the central units allow to spare electric power significantly. The control box watches the change of loads and switches on the necessary number of compressors (stages), and during night hours (or during days- off) it can automatically switch over the energy conserving mode, which gives extra- economy of electric power. The usage of microprocessor control boxes allows wholly to automize the work of central units. Microprocessor control boxes provide the stage compressors’ and fans’ guidance , the display of evaporating and condensation pressure and all possible alarm situations. Moreover, they save all accidents in special list, which you can look through. Microprocessor control boxes provide efficient guidance and protection, and flattening of work time of compressors and fans with the aim of their simultaneous breakup.

Microprocessor control box can be connected to the computer guidance monitoring system, which gives an opportunity to diplay and document all necessary parameters and administer the whole refrigerating system in real time from an expelled computer. The monitoring system can also send massages about accidents or any parameters’ changes automatically on fax or an sms on mobile phone. Frigodesign performs projecting, programming and installing of computer guidance and monitoring systems by a special order.

Stage regulation of cooling capacity usage allows to increase the accuracy of temperature regulation, which accordingly increases quality and storage time(for food). Generally, the more regulation stages of cooling capacity you have, the higher accurancy of regulation you can reach. In the catalogs, allocated on the site the refrigerating central units consist of compressors of the same type, that’s why the stage quantity matches with the compressor quantity in central unit. ÎÎÎ Frigodesign manufactures central units with any quantity of delivery capacity stages (by usage of compressors with different capacity) by a special order. The stage quantity in this case is equal to the quantity of combinations of working compressors. And Microprocessor control box is programmed so that it could note the capacity of each compressor. The usage of compressors with different capacity allows to manufacture a central unit with any necessary delivery capacity, which sometimes gives an opportunity to decrease costs because you can refuse from buying a central unit with exuberant delivery capacity.

Refrigerating central units have great reliability. When one of the compressors stops working the whole system continues. Thanks to the automatics and shut-off armature, the broken compressor can be switched off and replaced without stopping the others.

Centralized systems of cold- supply with refrigerating central units have a high flexibility of cold distribution. “Cold” is automatically concentrated on those user(show-window, counter , chamber, etc.), where the loads grow ( f.e. loading of warm products), which allows to increase the delivery capacity of each user by cold’s reallocation.

Refrigerating central units usually are adjusted outside the trading hall, and the offset condenser is set outside the premise, f.e. on the roof. It allows to remove the noise and heat release from the trading hall. In this case you may refuse from an expensive ventilation and air conditioning system, and also spare the electric power, which the system would have consumed. A wide range of set-off air condensers CROCCO can be delivered in complex with refrigerating central units. Among them there’s a wide selection range, you can choose a compressor with necessary noise level and price (from almost silent to very cheap ones).

Central units can be made according to customer’s technical data. A wide range of additional options allows the customer to chose a necessary complete set for any application variant. If the customer wishes the central units can be packed by a special module of heat- recycling (heat exchanger, heat-insulated water bowl, pump and electrical box). This module allows to get hot water for domestic needs by recycling of heat, evolved by the central unit. It depends on the necessary temperature of hot water, how much heat can be recycled (5% -10%). To recycle 100% of heat the central unit can be completed with a condenser with centrifugal fan. It gives an opportunity to use the warmed up air for heating the premise in winter time. However in this case youll need a system of hot air distribution, consisting of a great number of air pipes.

All central units are adjusted and fully controlled. Firstly assembly quality is tested, then hermetic- test and complex test of all circuits in electrical box is held. After it pressure regulators and all automatic devices are adjusted, and programming of microprocessor control boxes is made. In conclusion there’s a test on algorithm of administering the microprocessor boxes and a test on operating of automatic protection devices. As a result the customer gets a fully tested, adjusted and checked up refrigerating central unit.
